10 months ago I made a video on how I use Vocal Rider to assist in leveling out my podcast. I mentioned that I use Vocal Rider in tandem with multiple compressors to achieve a consistently loud signal, and people have been HOUNDING ME for video on how I use Vocal Rider by Waves with my compressors to hit that sweet sweet -16LUFS target, and more importantly, with a small loudness range. Well folks, here you go... Part 2.
But you know me, we can't just do the video on Vocal Rider and compression, we first need to listen to 3 other ways of achieving -16LUFS before getting to why I find Vocal Rider, the CLA-2A, and API 2500 by Waves to be my preferred signal chain for loudness processing. There are many ways to pet a cat, and this is the way I find most effective and most transparent.
