…especially if you’re someone who experiences a lot of anxiety and/or digestive issues to begin with!
While coffee on an empty stomach isn’t known to directly cause acid reflux or heartburn, it can worsen it for those that already have those issues.
But it certainly can give you a dose of anxiety and jitters from the rapid absorption of caffeine on a empty stomach!
Personally, I find it helpful to pair my coffee with a little bit of food in the morning to help buffer some of the absorption. I left some of my faves in the reel above!
