Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was in Surrey, B.C. on Friday to announce federal funding of up to $1.3 billion to extend Metro Vancouver’s SkyTrain line through Surrey and Langley, as well as support for a extension to the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. He was flanked by officials from different levels of government while protesters shouted in the plaza below.
