A National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) team experienced extreme turbulence as they flew through Hurricane Milton on Tuesday to collect atmospheric data. US authorities warned that Milton could be “one of the most destructive hurricanes on record for west-central Florida.”
