The naporitan (napolitan, named after Naples Italy) is a Japanese ketchup & butter based spaghetti filled with hearty ingredients. Originally conceived by a Yokohama chef inspired by occupying American soldiers eating everything with ketchup, this dish has become one of the most iconic yōshoku ("western food") in Japan.
