Soojir puli or the Roshopuli is a decadent and rather less labor intensive version of the iconic Sankranti specialty, the puli pithe/pitha.This is a delicious sweet made with rava/semolina and scraped coconut dumplings which are dunked in a bed of sweet kheer (condensed milk).This dessert is made during any religious festival and specially during the harvest season in winter when it is made with date palm jaggery.At other times it is made with sugar or date palm sugar ( michri ).
