On April 26 and 27, UNICEF and the government of Cameroon organized the first Mayors Forum on Birth Registration in Cameroon. The event, which took place in Yaoundé, was attended by 600 participants. On the final day of the forum, UNICEF launched the My Name Campaign and challenged the mayors to accelerate birth registration in their municipalities.
