I am so very excited to be getting to this video finally! The outer petticoat for my 18th-century gown from the Costume Close-up book. This is a combination of a sack-back gown and a polonaise gown. The outer gown is pulled up in polonaise style to show off more of this lovely petticoat underneath. I love everything about it from the ruched trim to the pleated ruffle and the lace. I used cotton instead of the silk that was originally used. This, like most of my projects, is done with fabrics found at thrift stores and repurposed. The playlist for this project is linked below!
