Experience the awesome power of the MD-11 "Jeana" in action! Feel the thunder as this heavy bird burns rubber and roars down runway 10L with her reverse thrust engaged, then hear the distinctive idle whistle of the MD-11's CF6 engines from extremely close up! FLL usually gets a combination of FedEx 757, A300, and DC-10, but occasionally we see an MD-11 operating here! This is now our LOUDEST landing footage and LOUDEST taxi footage, with 88.11 and 85.38 respectively on our Sound Scale! The Scale is not perfectly accurate, but it does provide a useful number to compare the sound levels!
Special thanks to the Broward County Aviation Department team and Mr. Roberto!
Sorry for shakes. Didn't clip shaky parts, so we could show more of this wonderful aircraft! Also sorry for slight sound distortion (less noticeable at high volume), this was obviously LOUD and there was some wind distortion as well!
