What to Do When a Minister You Looked up to Falls into Sin

1. Miracles are a sign that God is good but they are not a confirmation of a minister’s integrity.

2. It’s the devil’s goal to allow the minister to rise as high as possible because the higher he gets the bigger the fall.
"However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die." 2 Samuel 12v14

3. God is the one who brings hidden things to light.

4. When we notice unrepentant sin in our leaders - we can’t bury our heads in the sand and pretend that it’s okay.

5. You can receive a blessing from a ministry and that blessing is not contaminated because that ministry is later found out to be not what it claimed to be.

What to do when someone you looked up to falls:
1. Grieve, don’t gloat.
2. Heal with time. Time does not heal, but it takes time to heal with Jesus
3. Trust slowly.
4. Drop a stone and pick up a mirror.
5. Be hopeful.
6. Shake off the dust and move forward.
