In just over a decade, Sino Iron has transformed from a greenfields location on the Pilbara coast to a fully integrated, pit-to-port magnetite mining, processing and export megaproject. Our Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) department has been an integral part of this journey – growing from a single dome in the early days to a seven-bay maintenance workshop and a separate fabrication workshop with high quality tooling and very talented personnel.

We also work with some of the biggest mining equipment in Australia. The Terex RH400 and the CAT 6090 are among the largest hydraulic excavators in the world, weighing close to 1,000 tonnes with a shovel capacity of 93 tonnes in a single scoop. It takes just a few scoops to fill up one of our ultra-class MT6300 haul trucks. Our HME department ensures the reliability and availability of this equipment for continued safe and efficient production.
