The American Express card which generates a British Airways companion voucher is a well known perk of living in the UK for people who spend a decent amount on a credit card each year. It allows you to create a two-for-one avios redemption on BA if you meet spending criteria with Amex, but you'll also earn avios for the spend you put through the card and can trouser a quite generous welcome bonus too.

From September 1st, the companion voucher got much better - even if the cost of the card rose by 25%. Vouchers earned from that date now allow you to book revenue seats that are are available for purchase.
