Politicians in Georgia are to hold a presidential election on Saturday
For the first time in the country's history, the public won't be involved and there’s only one candidate.
The vote is expected to anger opposition supporters.
They've been holding nightly street protests for more than two weeks against the sitting government.
It comes just a day after the U.S. announced it will restrict visas for around 20 people it considers to be 'undermining democracy in Georgia' - including government ministers.
Al Jazeera’s Dmitry Medvedenko explains from Tbilisi.
