Ten bullets rip through a Chattanooga home Thursday night, barely missing a family of five inside. The homeowner, Angela Haggard, says police aren't doing enough to keep her family safe. My daughter called me, they were on the bathroom on the floor crowded down, saying it's gunfire being shot inside of our house last night, says Angela Haggard.Angela Haggard took us inside of her Vance Avenue home Friday - showing us the many bullet holes inside. She says she has no idea who did it or why. They was walking on feet and shot in the house 10 times and almost shot them children, says Haggard. She even found one bullet hole in the room where her grandson usually sleeps.Just my one 6-year-old grandbaby was there, but if my 5 and 6-year-old grandbabies were there, they would have been playing, but thankfully he was in the bed with his mom, and nobody got hurt, says Haggard. Friday, our camera was there as two police officers came to pick up shell casings -something Haggard says investigators should have done Thursday night. She believes police can do more. He didn't give us a police report last night, he just left. He asked what I think he needs to do, and then he left us here. We were scared to come out after trying to get our stuff out the house because it's dark out here and we don't know if the people are still out here or not, says Haggard. It just goes to show that the 32 that they [police]) picked up are supposed to be the worse of the worse, actually are not. Because it's not the ones who are doing it because it's a mix-up and they're sacrificing the wrong kids, says Chattanooga resident Skip Eberheardt. Haggard claims her family has received several recent death threats and has no idea who's targeting her family. But, she admits her son was recently arrested in a case for a shooting.I have no idea why they want to kill my family, if somebody has done something to them. We're not gang bangers. We haven't done anything to anyone out there and when I find out who it is, I want them in jail, says Haggard. So far no one has been arrested. Ours calls to police Friday to find out more - were not returned. After we pressed investigators, we've learned that the Vance Avenue home is now on the police watch list to try and keep the family safe.Depend on us to bring you more as we learn more about this case.By Jerry Askin
