►The Porsche Cayenne Turbo is great for many things, including towing boats, taking the kids to school, beating WRXs at highway pulls, and climbing over rough terrain. However, their V8 engines aren't impervious to damage, as our Creative Director Ben Marouski found out in the Colorado wilderness. While traversing a river crossing, his 957 Cayenne Turbo ingested water, causing it to hydro-lock and die. While Ben and his rescuers were briefly able to get the Cayenne running again, the engine's fate was already sealed.
You can watch all of the action with that Cayenne, from its assembly as an overlander to its demise and eventual rebuild in another video series, but today, it's all about looking at the carnage caused by the water. As we know, water in the cylinder of a running engine is catastrophic, and inside this Porsche M48.51 V8, that's all on display. So sit down, grab a snack, and watch along as Ben and Event Director/Cayenne Expert Nate Brown tear down the once-beating heart of a 957 Porsche Cayenne Turbo.
