No guide to becoming an amateur astronomer would be complete without a chapter on the moon. I admit I was one of those people who cursed the moon for obliterating the deep sky objects I wanted to look at but the moon is worthy of study and has many fascinating features. This is by no means a comprehensive course on observing the moon: you could spend a lifetime just studying the moon. I mainly highlight some facts about the moon and highlight some of the moon's features with video footage and pictures I took with my 10" Dobsonian, a 3x Barlow and Sony A6600.
