Ortigia, a small island connected to the city of Syracuse in Sicily, Italy, is a historical and cultural gem. This 1-mile long island served as the ancient city center and boasts remnants of Greek and Roman eras, like the Apollo Temple and the majestic Cathedral. Beyond its historical charm, Ortigia offers stunning turquoise waters, inviting beaches, and vibrant squares bustling with cafes and shops. This densely populated island, with around 5,000 residents, offers a captivating blend of historical wonders, natural beauty, and lively Sicilian culture.
Our guided walking tour is about 4.35 miles (7 km) long and covers most attractions and historic sites of Ortigia.
