The long-awaited 'Brahmaputra Carnival' at Lachit Ghat offers a mix of culture, adventure, and relaxation. The tourism festival started on December 15 along the scenic Brahmaputra River. March 15, 2025, will mark the end of the 90-day-long event where visitors can enjoy water sports, live music concerts, and exhibitions showcasing Assam’s rich culinary traditions and local handicrafts, including exciting activities for adventure lovers.
Activities like speedboat rides, kayaking, bungee jumping, trekking, river rafting, archery and jet skiing will be some of the major attractions at the festival. Organizers have also arranged luxury tent accommodations in three categories. Deluxe, Premium and Royal Tents (Rs 7,500, Rs 10,500 and Rs 14,500 for kids and adults, respectively) are available for tourists. Other amenities needed for a comfortable experience are also available at these tents.
