Join the guests and crew of Maple Leaf Adventure’s catamaran Cascadia as we spend a week exploring the alpine fed fiords of the Kitlope and passages seaward. This is the largest temperate rain forest remaining in the world, with salmon returning to its myriad of tiny streams feeding an ancient system of animals and native culture. This special Canadian Geographic hosted expedition will highlight the stunning fiords and their waterfalls, abundant wildlife, and the deep and delicate beauty of the Kitlope conservation area. A special visit from the rare Kermode, or Spirit Bear completed an amazing week. We followed the advise of Kitlope’s spokesman Wa’xaid (now sadly passed) to wash our eyes and ears in the Kitlope river giving us clarity and attention to increase our awareness of the world around us. I hope you do too in this video.
