Mochamad Tegar Syach Putra, SMA Negeri Model Terpadu Bojonegoro happily retell one of the popular urban legends in Bojonegoro, with the title “The Legend of Baungan.”
One of the legends that is familiar to the people in Gondang, Bojonegoro is Baungan. What is Baungan? It is a creature with the human body and wolf head. This myth figure is believed to reside in Pandan Mountain, Gondang and it is also believed to be one of the nature guardian of Pandan Mountain. The story of Baungan actually was told from mouth to mouth and it has been an important reminder for the people to preserve the creature and the nature of Pandan Mountain.
