The Opening Speech of the International Conference: "Young People, Migration and the Demographic Challenge in the Western Balkans" was delivered by Federal Foreign Minister Heiko Maas on 28 October 2020.
The online-conference from 28-30 October 2020 was part of the official programme of the German Presidency of the Council of the European Union and was supported by the German Federal Foreign Office, the Aspen Institute Germany and the Southeast Europe Association.
