In this first part of my Dehradun series I'm going to show you one of most popular tourist spot of this capital city of Uttarakhand known as Sahastrdhara. This is the place which is must visit for every visitor in Dehradun.

Situated in the middle of the hills on the outskirts of Dehradun, Sahasradhara is the place where Dronacharya, the guru of the Pandavas and Kauravas, obtained Divyastra from Lord Shiva after doing severe penance in a cave. There is a very ancient temple of Lord Shiva in the natural Drona cave located here. Thousands of drops of water drip in other caves, due to which this place is called Sahastradhara.

Along with this, the stream of river water flows here, in which naturally sulfur is present, so it is believed that if you take a bath in this water, then all kinds of skin diseases will end. Apart from the water park here, there is also Manideep Ropeway, from which you reach the high place and from there you will see a wonderful view. Here you can spend a full day with your family and friends.
