I hate my original video on this topic so I decided to revise it and add in stuff I forgot to put in last time. I also need to be abundantly clear that I am NOT invalidating anyone's gender identity or trans people as a whole. Being transgender is a very real thing, it just wasn't the answer for me.
Let me reiterate: I socially transitioned when I was 16 (2011) and got onto HRT at age 17. I lived as a "man" until I detransitioned at age 19 (2014). Currently, I am 25 years old and last June marked my 6th year anniversary of being off testosterone.
I could blame Tumblr and I could blame extremist liberals for my transition, I could blame my parents and my upbringing, but what it really comes down to is that I allowed myself to do this to myself and that is my fault. Even if I was only on testosterone for a year and a half, T is one Hell of a drug and any amount of time on it makes its mark on the body.
Also, please listen to my entire rant before making any conclusions. At the end of the day, I'm just frustrated at my own lost time because of my "trans" phase, and I show concern for those who are also likely wasting their precious time on this earth trying to determine their gender. Here's a video that made me start thinking about this:
