In Kenya's Coastal region, most voters opted to stay away from polling centres. In fact, Mombasa saw pockets of confrontation between protesters and police. The most affected areas are slums. Many parts of Kenya's coastal region are perceived to be pro-opposition. However, a few did come out to cast their vote. We spoke to some of them.
