A Taliban suicide bomber attacked a bus carrying Afghan soldiers in the Tangi Tarakhil area of Kabul on Thursday, killing six soldiers and injuring 11 others.
“Unfortunately, we lost six soldiers and 11 others were wounded in the suicide attack,” Dawlat Waziri, deputy spokesman for the Defense Ministry, told Press TV.
The attacker was on foot when he blew himself up next to the bus, Press TV reported. Eyewitnesses told Xinhua that at least three civilian cars were damaged by the blast and one passerby was injured.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed responsibility for the attack, according to multiple reports.
