Speeding up testing is an “all hands on deck” effort, said Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, yet the demand for tests is currently overwhelming the capacity. Fauci’s comments came in response to Rep. Andy Kim, D-Nj., in a House hearing investigating the federal effort to control the pandemic.
