While a number of Canadian provinces have introduced vaccine passports, there are still a few holdouts.

Such a document would prevent those who haven’t received their COVID-19 shot from entering certain facilities, like restaurants, gyms and sporting events. And for provinces that haven’t implemented a vaccine passport, one Canadian economist says the failure to do so could hurt their economy.

But as Anne Gaviola reports, while they may be good for the economy, vaccine passports have become a political lightning rod.
