Wychowanie w duchu rywalizacji i sukcesu kształtuje charakter syna. Obaj bohaterowie mają wobec siebie różne oczekiwania, nie zawsze się ze sobą zgadzają, a jednak potrafią odnaleźć nić porozumienia w pasji do niebezpiecznego sportu. Wśród pretensji jest miejsce na wsparcie i troskę.
