On this episode of Inside Wheaton, host Greg Wheatley interviews Franklin S. Dyrness Professor of Biblical Studies and Dean of the Wheaton College Graduate School Dr. Nicholas Perrin. They discuss the so-called “Gospel of Jesus’ Wife,” a papyrus fragment that some say implies that Jesus may have been married. They talke about whether or not Dr. Perrin believes the papyrus to be authentic, and even if so, whether it provides evidence of Jesus being married. Our discussion branched into more general questions of the canonicity of Scripture, and how Christians should respond when hearing claims that seem to counter orthodox beliefs.
