Why Men Are No Longer Chasing Women?
I believe there's been a noticeable decline in men approaching women because many women have expressed that they don’t like being approached. It makes them uncomfortable, and some have labeled these interactions as "creepy." Most men don’t want to add to this discomfort, so they might be more hesitant to initiate.
Additionally, many men have a fear of rejection, which is a normal feeling. They might also fear a particularly negative reaction, which can make putting themselves out there feel intimidating, especially in today’s dating environment. Even though rejection is tough, it’s still seen as attractive when a man is bold and takes the initiative. Men are often expected to make the first move.
In the past, women would signal their interest in subtle ways, like dropping a handkerchief for a man to pick up and start a conversation. That was her way of giving him the green light. The modern version might be her accidentally dropping an AirPod, and when he hands it back, she could say, "Thanks! It only plays messages from guys who ask for my number."
