Satori Resources Inc. holds the past producing Tartan Lake Gold Mine Project located in the prolific Flin Flon/Snow Lake mining district of Manitoba, and is showing promising signs of having all the right ingredients to become a significant gold asset in the region. A new team has been assembled, bringing a fresh perspective to the project, which is road accessible, has an existing gold resource, a 2,100 metre ramp decline to developed underground mining stopes, and on-site grid power.
The Tartan Lake Gold Mine Project operated from 1986 to 1989 when the mine shut at the time gold fell below $400/ounce, leaving the project as an under-explored asset that has seen limited drilling in a prolific mining camp.
Satori’s 2021 drilling campaign expanded the resource footprint approximately 200 metres down plunge, and uncovered an interpreted new zone of mineralization. The program returned some of the highest grades ever reported, including the second highest grade interval at Main Zone, the longest and highest grade interval at the South Zone.
Satori is currently drilling a more remote target at the McFadden Zone situated one kilometre south-east from the historic mining area.
