A high alert has been sounded by the Kerala Health Department after a rare virus called 'nipah' claimed two more victims, taking the death tally up to six, in Kozhikode. A task force has been formed in Kozhikode to monitor the situation. The virus spreads through bat-infected fruits and currently has no cure.
