"It was kind of hard at first, then again I look back and you see other people had the same injuries as yours and that is just like wow, like an inspiration. It is like, OK I am not going to stop I am going to keep going. So, for some reason all this stuff I am doing exceeded so much my expectations."

"We can get these guys, while they are in therapy, while they are still in the hospital up and skiing literally in one day. And what happens to them is they start to realise that they can be active, that they can live their dreams and it really turns their heads around. I know it did for me, I lost my leg in Vietnam 37 years ago and I went through the same experience then and it was sports that got me back into life again."

"After you have been hurt you don't think you can do the same things so you try something different and the fear kind of subsides and you think you can accomplish things in life now that you have been hurt. (Reporter, off camera: How did you get hurt?) Oh, I was injured in Iraq. Roadside bomb, October 31st of last year and I have been doing pretty well."
