One of our last cargo holds inspection.
a vessel which have been for the 2 years carrying ore, chrome manganese, coal and others minerals, has been now booked to carry the total of 64000mt of SOYA BEANS, loading at a Brazilian Port a high quality soya, the charterer gave us the challenge to perform a very detailed inspection to find any deficiency in time that vessel can fix it before to go alongside for loading.
We did 1st Inspection upon vessel's arrival at outer roads, with calm sea on waves of 0,50cm and sunny weather. But the cargo holds were not approved due to the presence of residues from last cargo.
A shore cleaning gang have been ordered.
The 2nd inspection (re-inspection) have been carried out on the April 07th, 2019 when we have found some residues (minor quantity) from last cargo, but we did our best to cooperate with our costumer to avoid delays and others costs to owners, we prepared a final cleaning up plan by highlighting the exposed points with minor residues of coal, paint chip and some rust and together with cleaning gang and vessel's crew in hard 12 working hours nom stopping we fixed the vessel in good condition to receive the SOYA BEAN.
In particular, we are not acting only as surveyor to appoint the deficiency, we are mainly acting as FACILITATOR.
