Caught this close lightning strike this afternoon. At the time of the strike, the precipitation type was all graupel/snow pellets, and the temperature was 37. The lightning may have struck the small tree just to the right of the flagpole. Numerous thunderstorms occurred around the Pagosa Springs area during the afternoon, producing mostly graupel/snow pellets, but also small amounts of rain, hail, and ordinary snow. This as about as close-up as I care to get lightning video, whether in a winter thunderstorm like this one or otherwise.
