Song used is 'Never Forgive Me, Never Forget Me' from the Silent Hill soundtrack. Rather appropriate, I think, since this graveyard does contain some of the people who were involved in wrongfully accusing others in the Salem Witch Trials.
I'm sorry there isn't more footage, had I know I would do this with this, I would've taken more. It's meant to be creepy, but peaceful at the same time (hence the vignette effect but it's a beautiful day) ;)
I actually wasn't creeped out at all in this place. I walked in expecting I would feel the hurt of the souls buried there, but it was actually very peaceful and calming. I'm Pagan and I feel most in touch with my spirituality when in a cemetery. I need to visit more of them more often.
There's a little story to add to this, figured I'd share - I met a man with a painted-face, painted to look like a skull, and he came up to me and put coins on the tallest grave there. He explained that he didn't know who that person was, but he comes by every once in a while to pay respect. He said he knew some bum would probably take the change, but it was the gesture that counted.
This little interaction made me later put a quarter on some random grave as well. :)
I did not record the grave I'd paid homage to, nor the grave he paid homage to. I took a picture of the one I gave to, but not his. It felt disrespectful, somehow. I can't explain why.
I hope to live in Massachusetts some day. :)
