in 2010 Panama Canal Pilots came to Antwerp ( amongst other ports) to see how the Antwerp pilots were handling ULCS ships into the biggest lock of the world; this as part of their preparation of their training to handle these ships in the new Panama Canal locks, which came into operation in 2016.
