This is a tool-assisted speedrun (TAS). This means input was recorded for each individual frame with assistance of external tools such as save states.
In this video, I clear TCSO's 2-9 operation as fast as possible while obtaining an XS rank.Getting max rank here is super easy at first, just go as fast as possible and get COOLs for incision / bandage, so you can reach a chain of 51. However, the chain requirement here is 50, so we can probably do better than that.
If we get a BAD bandage, our chain will drop to 49. This means that we will need to find some source of damage to abuse and thus acquire an extra tick for our chain. Our candidates are:
* Let the patient bleed a bit from one of the big wounds
* Let kiryaki deal one extra laceration of damage
* Stick to the COOL bandage and get a chain of 51
Getting a COOL bandage takes several seconds, so that's out. Same for waiting on Kyriaki, it'd waste too much time. Waiting for the patient to bleed is the fastest approach, since we can patch up the other wounds while waiting, as well as raise vitals as needed, since the patient would probably die otherwise.
Thus, our chain goes like this:
* Gel, Incision: 2
* Drain 8/9 blood pools: 10
* Close two big wounds: 12
* Suture 5 wounds: 17
* Drain 2 blood pools: 19
* Close, suture big wound: 21
(Each small Kiryaki raises chain by 5, with 2 lacerations, 1 cut, 1 gel heal and 1 kill)
* Kiryaki wave 1: 26
* Kiryaki wave 2: 36
* Big Kiryaki opening wounds: 39
(Each tick of damage to big one raises chain by 3, with 1 laceration, 1 cut and 1 gel heal)
* Excise, gel and suture Kiryaki wounds: 48 (3 ticks of damage)
* Big Kiryaki defeat:49
* Suture: 50
Oh, and the reason I get GOODs on those sutures is because I don't really need the COOL to get an XS score, and getting a COOL there is slower since I can't kiwi suture those (it requires more than 3 lines).
If you're wondering why it seems like I'm waiting at times, it's because of in-op dialogue that prevents you from performing inputs until it scrolls by, forcing me to wait a bit to start moving again.
At the end, you can skip the post-op dialogue by choosing to return to episode select. You can also skip regular text by pressing the - button.
