In an abrupt turn of events, the deputy Speaker of Parliament Anita Among ended Thursday’s plenary proceedings after several ministers skipped the session.
This followed concerns raised by MPs that several ministers with queries to reply to in the house were absent.
Even attempts by the Government Chief Whip Thomas Tayebwa to assure the house that the ministers' absence was due Covid-19 preventive measures proved insufficient to placate the now incensed deputy speaker of parliament. House is now adjourned until Tuesday next week.
