As a few large entities have centralized the internet in general we've seen collapse of healthy communication and community structures. The Spritely Institute is leading the way on distributed social networking technology built on object capability technology built from experience and deep research. Spritely Institute's co-founders Randy Farmer (co-founder of Lucasfilms Habitat, the world's first virtual world, co-inventor of avatars and the news feed, and has been involved in every major iteration of social networking technology since the 1980s and Christine Lemmer-Webber (co-author of ActivityPub, the world's largest and most successful web-based decentralized social networking protocol) as they explain what brought us off track, how we're going to fix it, and how Spritely will deliver new fundamental layers for internet technology.
