Duruitoarea Waterfall is located in the Rupturii Creek Valley in the Ceahlău Massif, at an altitude of 1247 meters. The waterfall is about a two-hour walk from the mountain resort Durău. To get to the waterfall, use the route with the red cross marking, a rather rugged route and which climbs in a proportion of 70-80%.
Duruitoarea Waterfall is a natural monument within a protected area of national interest. The waterfall measures almost 25 meters and is separated by a threshold into two distinct parts: the upper threshold is about 20 meters and the lower threshold is about 5 meters. The name of the waterfall comes from the loud and continuous noise it makes when it has a lot of water.
