On our continuing quest for the NE67, we went to Camel’s Hump. We took the Burrows Trail all the way. It is a popular trail and the erosion shows that. It’s a short 2.1 miles to the opening, then we took the Long Trail the remaining 0.3 miles to the summit. The views should be fantastic, but the haze is overpowering them somewhat, we think it might be the wild fires out west.
We came down the opposite side of the summit to get to the Alpine Trail so we could search for the B24 plane crash site. We were able to find the location of both wings, then we took the Monroe Trail back up to the hut clearing. Taking the Burrows Trail back down seemed longer than 2.1 miles, but we did just do a 12+ mile hike the day before so we were tried. 
