We do some hands-on head-to-head testing of the newest Diablo SPEEDemon Self-feed Wood Boring Bits vs Milwaukee SwitchBlade and WoodOwl. The new SpeedDemon self-feed wood boring bits feature a new two-cutter design with a replaceable feed screw.
It offers legitimately faster drilling in all sizes we tested. The bits allowed us to use our Milwaukee right angle drill at high speed across the entire size range. It cuts so aggressively, however, that some standard drills may not have the power to use the entire size range even though they can handle the same job with single-cutter designs.
