"Go Forwards, Comrades!" is a Romanian communist song written in the late 1940s, in the years following Soviet liberation and the establishment of the Romanian People's Republic. The melody is taken from the Soviet revolutionary song "Смело, товарищи, в ногу" (Comrades, Let's Bravely March), which was written during the Russian Revolution of 1917. The song's lyrics recount the new freedom brought by liberation from the fascist Kingdom of Romania and urge the Romanian people onwards, to raise their flag ever higher.
