Atajurt has been under attack by Chinese-funded groups in Kazakhstan for a while. Recently, they have been propagating that Atajurt supports "Uyghur terrorists". Unfortunately, there are some tensions between Kazakhs and Uyghurs in Kazakhstan, and these people try to exploit nationalist sentiments among Kazakhs. Yesterday, we had a roundtable about this issue, and here we are sharing the part in English.

Atajurt is open to all ethnic groups. Atajurt have accepted petitions not only for Kazakhs, but also for Uyghurs, Kyrgyz, Tatars and even Dungans/Huis (Chinese-speaking Muslims). Atajurt is a human rights organization and whoever suppresed by the Chinese government is welcome at Atajurt.
