Ingredients required to make Mackerel Uddamethi -
500 gms Mackerel
1 cup Coconut grated
1 Onion
4 Cancona Chillies
4 Peppercorn
1 tbsp Coriander Seeds
20 gms Tamarind
1 tbsp Rice
1/2 tsp Split Black Gram
1 tbsp Coconut Oil
Pinch of Turmeric
Salt to taste
Method to make Mackerel Uddamethi -
Roast the coriander seeds, Cacona chillies, peppercorn in the pan.
Roast rice separately.
Roast fenugreek and grated coconut separately.
Roast the onions separately.
All water as required.
Grind all the ingredients together.
Add coconut oil and cook the onion till it is translucent.
Add water and Mackeral which are marinated in turmeric and salt.
Add the masala mix to it and cook for few mins.
Add Mackerel Uddamethi is ready to be served.
