Shows one way to load 35 mm film onto Hewes stainless steel reels.
It's more difficult in the dark; some practice is required. Push the film gently onto the reel and feel from time to time that it follows the tracks. Start over if there is any misalignment.
Recently rewound film will not be as cooperative as shown here. Especially from cameras that wind film backwards, such as the Cosina Bessa line of cameras. It's manageable with practice or let the film reshape its form to the canister for a couple of weeks before development.
I really botched opening the canister in the demonstration. Be less careless or one of the first frames will have an indentation.
