A Few Highlights from Today's Fountain Pen Unboxing and Pen Review:
1. The Conklin Word Gauge is an exclusive - only available at PenChalet.com. The pen is limited to 33 pieces.
2. The pen is made of Ebonite, has a threaded cap, features a VERY interesting ink window (more to come on that), has a spring metal clip with the Conklin name featured, gunmetal trim with a matching stainless steel nib, and a piston filling mechanism.
3. Features a historic throwback design. The ink window has markings that designate different numbers. The numbers are supposed to indicate how many words you can write with the amount of ink left in your pen.
Vanessa particularly loves the gunmetal trim.
4. The housing and nib screws out so you can easily remove and switch it out. If you remove it, you'll notice the o-ring (which is awesome because nothing is worse than leaking ink). It's really well designed and put together. (Vanessa particularly loves this about Conklin pens).
5. It posts - and it's a really good looking pen. Vanessa tends to write with her pens not posted, but it looks great and words great either way.
6. The piston filling system worked really nice - it was a little difficult at first, but once she got it going - she thought it worked very well.
