Cucumber Curry | Dosakaya Curry | Yellow Cucumber Curry
Ingredients:
Yellow cucumber – 400 gms
Groundnut oil – 2.5 tbsp
Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
Onion – 1
Ginger garlic paste – ½ tsp
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Tomatoes – 2
Red chilli powder – ¾ tsp
Rock salt – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – ½ tsp
Cumin powder – ½ tsp
Procedure:
1) Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, let them splutter
2) Add onion, fry on medium flame for 5 mins
3) Add ginger garlic paste, fry it on low flame for 2 mins
4) Add chopped yellow cucumber, turmeric powder
5) Cover and cook on low flame for 20 mins (Mix in between)
6) Add tomatoes, mix, cover and cook on low flame for 5 mins
7) Add red chilli powder, rock salt, mix them.
8) Cover and cook on low flame for 3 mins
9) Add 100 ml water, cover and cook on low flame for 7 mins
10) Add coriander powder, cumin powder.
11) Cover and cook on low flame for 5 mins
12) Add chopped coriander, mix and switch off the flame.
Serve it with hot rice or chapati
Note: If you don’t have a measuring cup, regular teacup will be approximately 100 ml
