Sastojci / Ingredients
500 gr graha po zelji/ 500 gr dry beans
1 srednja glavica luka / 1 medium onion (diced)
2-3 cehna bijelog luka / 3-4 garlic cloves (minced)
1 srednja mrkva / 1 medium carrot (diced)
3 kasike paradajz pirea / 3 tbs of tomato puree
sol, biber , vegeta , crvena paprika / salt , pepper , vegeta and smoked paprika to taste
Zaprska / Thickening
3 kasike ulja / 3 tbs of oil
2 kasike brasna / 2 tbs ap flour
1 kasikica paprike / 1 ts of smoked paprika
Prije kuhanja potopiti grah u vodu ( najbolje noc prije kuhanja , da bi skratili samo vrijeme kuhanja ) . Na malo ulja dinstati luk i bijeli luk , dodati mrkvu i grah koji ste prethodno isprali. Izmjesati i dodati zacine i pardajz pire, preliti vodom i kuhati na srednjoj temperaturi 2,5 - 3 sata. Pola sata pred kraj kuhanja napraviti zaprsku , ugrijati ulje , dodati brasno i crvenu papriku i lagano mijesati. Gotovu zaprsku izliti u grah, mijesati dok se ne sjedini i nastaviti kuhati na niskoj temperaturi jos 30 minuta uz cesto mijesanje.
Soak the dry beans , best overnight ( to shorten cooking time). Add some oil to cooking pot and simmer diced onion and minced garlic cloves, add diced carrot. Combine the bean, add spices and tomato puree. Fill the pot with water and cook on medium heat for 2,5 - 3 hrs. 30 minutes before end of cooking , make thickening for the stew. In small saucepan heat 2-3 tbs of oil,
add 2/3 tbs of flour and 1 tbs of smoked paprika. combine and add to stew. stir in well and continue cooking for another 30 mins, stir occasionally.
